I need help from the 33 Hot Rod family. I am working a 35 truck project, but I hated the look of the 35 hood and grill surround. I ordered the "33 rod rod grill" for my truck but that still shows up with the shorted hood.
I then cut the surround and fiberglassed it to the truck hood to create a 33 "style" hood.
So my question for the group. What kind of hood hinge hardware works, the truck hinge will not work, so I was thinking a 4 bar type hinge is necessary to get the hood up and forward to clear the grill lip?
I read that many people are struggling with the factory five hood hinge and I was wondering if anyone has tried an after market 4 bar or forward tilt hood hinge such as: Untitled.jpg hood 3.jpg
I'm not sure. It looks like the mounting plate on the 33 is parallel to the ground, the place where the 35 truck mounts, is vertical and perpendicular to the center line of the vehicle. It might with the fabrication of a bracket to mount to the 35 hood.

Is the yellow area where the 33 hinge mounts to the hood? If the 33 has the same "support box" within the under hood stricture then I am sure it would work.
