    Donor Differential ?

I'm having some difficulty understanding the proper read end differential for a Factory Five Hotrod.

Am I correct in assuming the Hotrod chassis is built for a Fox body axle, which is to say the axle length is : 59.25 inches (for 86-93 Mustang)

But, a 94 to 04 Mustang axle is 61.25 inches. That should also work as the back end might be a little bit wider but still workable (not withstanding body panel issues), right?

    Thanks.

Either will work. the 94+ is just a bit wider. If you not using fenders that doesn't even matter. BTW the 94+ can be easily shortened to 87-93 length just by changing the axles.

1994-1998 rear end housings are the same as ‘93 and earlier and as Mike said can be converted to Fox width with different axle shafts and caliper relocation brackets HOWEVER the 1994-2004 housings are wider and can not be brought to Fox width without cutting and narrowing the housing and using shorter axle shafts.
