    Help with trailer/signal wiring

So I’ve got a diagram for the wiring I found on the Forum. My question is (under the tank install), do I splice in before the Y at the tank? The diagram has a ground and tail light wire splitting after the flat box…I’m assuming I wire it in and then let the harness divide further at the Y?

Correct. I did essentially what you're doing, but further 'upstream'...I put the trailer adaptor behind the dash.

I wired mine in the same location - you do need to wire it in before it splits to left and right sides.

Greg I’ve considered this—how exactly did you do it behind the dash?

Same as you do it near the rear...just closer to beginning of the rear harness section, where it connects to the main harness. No magic to it.
