    Wiring my Alternator

Edit: I bit the bullet and bought the one wire alternator.

    Wiring my alternator...
I'm rebuilding a mk 2 and I replaced the mustang wire harness with the Ron Francis Factory five harness. I have an alternator from the mustang(it has a lifetime warranty or I'd buy a 1 wire alternator). It has a small plug with 3 wires(white, yellow and green w/red stripe) and then the main plug with 2 blacks and 1 white wire. The Ron Francis harness has a large Red and a small brown alternator ign wire. My alternator is not charging the battery. Any help on which wires go to which. I have the 2 blacks going to the large red and the white from the small plug going to the white from the large plug. Not sure if the green w/red or the yellow go to the brown alt ign wire, or maybe both? Anyone know the correct answer.
    Thanks in advance, Tim
