Speed Dial Box Install
Hello!
Trying to wrap up a coyote install. We're working on the speed dial box now.
We have a TKO 500 Tremek transmission. Pretty sure the speed sensor is on the passenger side toward the back.
The plug from the FFR rear harness that plugs into that has a green (speed sensor signal) wire and a grey (speed sensor return) wire.
Our confusion is, do we splice into the FFR harness green and grey wires with the green wire from the Ford speed dial box and the wire we added to the Ford Controls plug? So that the signal from the speed sensor runs both the speed dial box and the speedo??
I appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
Mike

Sorry, I used a GPS speedo. Where did you source the two small plugs for the wire you added to the Ford controls Plug?

I just connected the speed dial at the speedometer. The two wires from the pickup are connected at the speedometer and then the input wires for the speed dial are connected at the same terminals on the speedometer. Essentially the speedometer and speed dial are operated in parallel from from the speed pickup.
It is also important to ground the circuit or it won't work. This means you will have three wires on the negative terminal of the speedometer; one to the speed pick up, one to the speed dial, and one to the chassis.
