    Steering Wheel Problem

I searched the posts for something similar to what my problem is but to no avail.
People write about sloppiness, removable, etc.
With my problem I cannot even get close to their problem.
My wheel won't go on the shaft. Yes, I know the boss only fits a certain way and when it is lined up properly, it doesn't fit. I don't want to rubber mallet it on as that doesn't solve what I consider a problem.
Anyone else have an install problem with the steering wheel?

Some times you have to sand down the shaft a bit. Or use steel wool on the shaft. Make sure there are no burrs on the hub inside. It is a very tight fit for sure. Good luck.

    I had the same 'problem.'
Didn't want to use a rubber hammer. Instead, I used some fine sandpaper and elbow grease. Worked magic!

Same here. It is a very tight fit like putting the spindles on. A bit of light sanding, a bit of lubrication and it will go on.

    You'll get it.

Once its on, its a real pain to get off. Don't torque it down until you need to.

I think the, only goes on one way, refers to the bolt pattern on the steering wheel and hub. Mine was tight as well. I used rubber mallet, but only tp tap it on. "Kit Car", it is.
