    Tinnell Family Cobra Build Video

Let me start by saying I always wanted to start a Build thread, but before I knew it time had gotten away from me and I was so deep into the build it would have been a lot of writing to get caught back up. Time was at a premium for me so I figured I would just create a montage that would sum it all up. We got our MK4 complete kit in July of 2017 and finished it in January of this year. Unfortunately we were unable to drive it much until recently due to the unusual winter we’ve had in Texas this year. We’re very happy with how well it’s all come together and we’re looking forward to tackling another one in the near future.

Some quick stats on the Build:
427W by Craft Performance- dynoed at 520HP / 560 TQ
FITech Fuel Injection, TKO 600 Trans, Forte’s hydraulic clutch
    Wilwood brakes, Moser Axle
Custom Interior w/ walnut veneer dash and out of sight audio
Multiple other add one from other FF vendors

    Here’s the video

The dash we made using veneer from Constantine’s wood supply, and a whole lot of resin. The out of sight audio is one of the vendors listed on the forum. It works very well and keeps the dash clean.

Nice build. I like that you got the family into it. Her smile while driving says a lot.

Great build and great video. I have a goal to complete mine in about the same time. How much time was spent daily or weekly on the build to complete it in 6 months? Kit arrives December 8th and I want to drive it to COTA in Austin in October for the F1 race. That's the goal at least. Of course I am also opening my third restaurant at the same time so I'm pretty sure between sleep and the Cobra I will choose the Cobra. :-)

I didn’t do the best job at even attempting to keep track of time. A lot of the time I would work on it for maybe one hour before or after work, but I also took a few weeks of vacation time so that I could work on it full time here and there.

That sounds like my plan. I want to take a couple of weeks in January and do nothing but the build each day. This lets me know that it is possible. Not that it will really ever be DONE but if it is *done* in 9 months I'm good with that.
