Portland Indy Car Race 9-1-23
We ran the FFR PDG GTM in two opening event races for the Indy Car event at Portland last weekend and had a great time. We finished 2nd in the first race and 3rd in the second race. Car ran flawlessly and we used the event to get eyes on our sponsors and also to make sure that systems were working for the up coming 25 Hours of Thunderhill event. We also just plain had a lot of fun.

So cool it worked well! You and your team have worked really hard to get to this point - it is well earned! I look forward to highlights of Thunderhill!

I live in Danville between Fremont and Thunderhill. If you go, let me know and maybe we can drive up together.

At the moment yes. Trying to get the 10 sets of tires and making sure we have 4 committed drivers. Both could be sticking points.

This is very inspirational.

Looks like no 25 this year.
Could only get half the tires in the compound we wanted, and one of the confirmed drivers decided it wasn't the right time to be spending the good bit of cash that this car requires to run.
Totally understandable on the cash thing. Will be interesting to see how many cars are at the 25 this year. They changed the date to the 11th of November instead of the traditional first weekend of December, but I really doubt that is going to bump the car count up much. We'll see.

Bummer. Sorry to hear.
If you don't mind me asking... what's the all in budget for the 25?

~$60k.
Which is pretty cheap as compared to running something like a GT3 Cup Porsche.

I'm gonna borrow that line when my wife asks about all the Summit Racing deliveries.
