    Forte's opened 1981:
    In 1993, Mike Forte developed the original conversion of the Ford Tremec into a GM 5-speed. These have always bolted to a GM bellhousings without an adapter plate. The Early Ford & FE Tremec were developed by Mike. The Mustang firewall adjustable quadrant kit and external slave clutch release conversions & cable release conversions too.
    Forte's is one of 11 Tremec Elite distributors in the US & Canada that carries their complete line of transmissions including T-5, TKO-500, TKO-600 & T-56 Magnum. We sell service parts and in house rebuilding.. Complete in house engine machine shop and engine dyno for turnkey engine/transmission packages.

Biography:
I've been playing with engines since I was a young boy of eight. I played with a COX .049 plane and then a Jim Clark Eagle special COX powered car. I also played with Briggs & Straton engines, lawn mowers and then built many bicycles with engines on them. It was like 1967 and Easy Rider just came out in the movies. A bunch of us rode these thinking we were riding "Choppers"... I have an interests in boats and I purchased a basket case 1958 Evinrude engine. I assembled it with the help of the local library's tech books. When I was 12, I bought a 1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner for $25.00.
That's a long time ago, but I remember details that would bore you but I had a blast with the curiosity of a child that wanted to learn & figure everything out.
I'm still a kid at heart and in my mid 50's....
