    Interference problem?

Yesterday I removed the oil pan from my "02 WRX donor motor to pro-actively change the oil pickup. I also removed the windage baffle from beneath the block. I am noticing evidence in the aluminum block either of interference with the crankshaft throws or machining at the factory. I cannot lever the crank fore and aft enough for anything to touch the block. Am I just looking for trouble, or is the abraiding of the block a problem?

If you're talking what I think you're talking about it's machined the way. The pieces of aluiminum that support the crank bearings is machined on the sides parallel to the crank counterwieights after being cast.
