For those who haven’t heard about the Outlaw Vintage group (of NASA), I think you may be missing out. It’s a great group of people who love to compete and have fun, but don’t want to be tied down to the period correct rules of the historic racing organizations. Basically any 30+ year old RWD (or replica of) can participate and each class is based of Hp/WT. You can see the simple rules here:

All the races I have been in with them have been fun, clean, and pretty darn close. There is also a great social aspect of this between the heats.
The group is pushing to be a national class and they have a chance to put on a show case for the National Organizers at the July 18-20 VIR event with Nasa Mid-A. Along with this, we might also be able to get a Vintage Car coral for spectators if there is enough interest. Our FFR Challenge cars have a great audience appeal (Sexy race cars as one of the NASA organizers put it), and so we would love to have a great showing. This is also a great way for those prepared outside of the FFR Spec Series to have a fun group to run with. The FFRC Spec cars fit perfectly in V2.
So you can let me know if you are interested or have questions. We hope to have the class on the NASA Mid-A site soon for registration.
