I have been 100% sponsored to wrap my car. The sponsor wants to go with something wild. What are your thoughts on this type of wrap on the 818? See pics.

This is highly subjective of course. I'm not into the ultra wild stuff.... but I will say that paints/wraps/dips with a lot of pearl in them do flatter the 818 a lot. It's all personal preference.... I would go with something that has a lot of pearl, but doesn't change color so much.... more changes lightness/darkness of a single color instead.
I agree with hindsight... a pearl or matte finish works well. A wild dichroic color shift is too much IMHO.
1st picture.

My choice from your menu would be the wrap on the Lotus (number 2).
Remember to get enough for the new removable hardtop.
Congrats on the sponsored wrap. And six days before Christmas no less.
Have a Very Merry Christmas!

Do the craziest one possible and let the haters hate.
PErsonally I would want to dip it in RL-71 but that is me.
Hate all your examples lol, just being honest, go with a blue, charcoal, green, black etc metalic wrap and maybe accent with a crazy camelon color. I never liked the camelon paint either. I really think the Porsche rs green with black accents ( wheels, window surround and interior) would look good on the 818. It's wild but has a Race car look image.jpg

I'm fond of the Porsche RS Orange scheme as well as the green. When I was going to paint the 818, I was close to deciding on this orange but now I think I'm just going to dip it in a medium metallic silver with satin black accents for the trim etc. If I get bored with that, I'll do another layer of dip over it... something like orange or whatever, and play around with a few colors until I find something I like, then peel it all off and go with a real paint job.

I too am up in the air, though...it will not be confused with any other 818. I guess if I do not like it, I can always peel it off after a few months of marketing time for the supplier/installer.
Giving a custom painted look from a vinyl wrap would be very cool but less expensive is why most of us would choose to wrap. A wrap that looks like candy paint is probably what I would personally be looking for in a wrap. Does your supplier have any true Candy Color similar to the Green SEMA car?
Any which way you go I hope to get to see your car.
Happy Holidays!
Keeping with the orange theme (all 4 of my Factory 5 cars have been some shade of orange). What do you guys thing of this color? It is called Orange Chrome Matte vinyl (OCM for short).
I love it - should look great on an 818.
Henry
That CCM looks good. Some charcoal colored wheels should go pretty good with that.
That OCM gets my vote.
Wow... That shade of orange is nice!
Holly s... stunning color!!! I'm jealous.

Looks like we have a winner, thx for the input.
how much vinyl was needed to wrap a 818? I don't remember Kalstar have either of his wrapped, so maybe somebody else has wrapped theirs?
Sixstars AEM 818R. They have a YouTube video and they show the wrapping process. It's about the same amount for a small car.
