    Mike's Atlanta amateur build thread

    Hello factory 5 forum!

I am a proud new owner of an 818S that was picked up in Boston on January 17th 2015 and driven back to Atlanta Georgia where the build will take place.

I am excited to keep a chronicle here on the 818 forums of my progress.

I have been a long time lurker of the forums but I decided to finally start my build thread.

I labeled my thread as an "amateur" build because I am not as skilled as the average members on this forum.
As the other build threads have shown me, there is an abundance of great mechanical, engineering, and fabrication skills that I do not possess.

I have worked on cars since I was a teenager as a hobby , but I have never built a car from the frame up. But I am willing to give it a try.

I'm excited to start! Thanks for your patience in advance for any questions that I have.

    Mike

Congrats and welcome to the fray. Looks like you and I are the only two S builders in the state (that I'm aware of). I think there are two or three others, but they are all "R" models. I'm in Alpharetta. What part of Atlanta are you in?

Thanks! I am located in Brookhaven but I have a warehouse in Decatur where the build is taking place.

Glad to have found another Atlanta 818S builder. I am always open for some collaboration.

    Mike,

If you keep the pics under 2 mb and under 1900x1900, you can use the pic albums her to host the pics. Then you can link to full res images.

Just an FYI. Welcome to the forum!
