Oldies but Goodies - share pics of your awesome Mk1, 2, or 3 build

The Mk4 is a great kit, but there are many outstanding builds from years ago. For those who are thinking about buying an unfinished kit or a completed older build, let's share pics of our older Mk1, 2, or 3 builds.

I'll start - here are pics of my Mk3 kit (late production from just a few months before the Mk4 was introduced)....

    Later,
    Chris

Ahhh, I misinterpereted the thread title and thought you wanted pics during the build. This immediately came to mind as one of my faves so even though it's not really quite on topic here goes:

Most everyone already knows what my mid-run Mk3 looks like but here's one I like from a few years ago anyway:

    Lets see some others!

Here are a few pictures of a Mk1 we recently completed for a customer. The car had sat in hibernation for almost 3 years and the owner decided he was finally ready to spend some time behind the wheel and not in the garage building the car.

This is the first picture of the finished car outside the shop.

With a bit of sun and shade on the J.Miller paint you can see what a beautiful car this one turn out to be.

And one last picture all loaded in the trailer for the ride to the customer.

These cars are so beautiful, they even look great in gel coat. I may never paint it.

Gumball, that deep green is a great color and gives me ideas. It's about the same color as an old Ford van my parents had. How about a deep metallic green, twin gunmetal stripes to match the Halibrand wheels, the wide stripes flanked by a pair of yellow pinstripes?

FFR 5179K MKII unfortunately she was totaled a few years back, but she lives on around the country with parts sold all over North America and her heart beats on in a new MKIV under construction.

Here's a picture of my old Mark 1 (1.5?) from last June after a "re-freshening". (I repainted it and added the rear flares and new tires and wheels.)

Here's what it looked like in 2003. (The change from Dark Highland Green to Viper Red and from side pipes to under car exhaust occurred in 2005-2006.)

On the #3 (Crowsnest) highway somewhere east of Manning Park headed towards Princeton. My son's first time at the wheel. My daughter snapped the photo out the window of my wife's car. I was as nervous as him but he drove very well! We've put on plenty of miles together now as far south as San Francisco and as far north as Port Hardy.

The memories we build along the way are the most important part of the process, cars or kids.

Here's my MK 3.1, being driven by some co-workers for a work-related video. Yes, it's actually pained flat black, not just primer.

Your ride is awesome! What size wheels are those if I may ask? Back spacing?
