    German wool square weave carpet

Has anyone used German wool square weave carpet in their interior? I'd be curious to see some photos if anyone has some. I know it's not technically "correct" for these cars but it was stock in Porsches and VW's from that era. The 319 Black has just enough mottling in it that I think it would look very cool against black leather seats and leather trans tunnel cover.

I've read warnings against using wool if there's ever a chance of it getting wet, as your car will smell like a wet dog forever, but from May through October there's basically zero chance of rain around here so I'm not terribly worried about that.

MkIV Roadster build: Gen 2 Coyote, IRS, TKO600. Ordered 10/24/18. Delivered 1/29/19. Engine installed 8/8/21. First start 9/12/21. First go-kart 9/17/21. Off to paint 4/11/22. Back from paint 12/30/22. Build thread here.

There are synthetic wool loop carpets out there that look every bit the part. I plan to redo my interior down the road once I tire of the FFR carpet.
