rear upper links
I have just started my 33 build and having trouble with clearance where the upper links attach to the rear end. I have already ground 1/2'' off the links and the rear end will only travel up about 4'' before the links stop the rear from rising further. The rear end is new from moser.

Can you post some pictures please?
> I had a situation with a Moser Rear (TSD-500) where they welded the brackets at the wrong angle.
> It sounds like you have the exact opposite problem where your upper link or both may be mispositioned.
> Also, can you check your pinion angle to see what the angle of it is compared to the tail-shaft of your transmission?
> In my case, I shortened the lower control arms by 5/8" to get my pinion angle back in whack because I couldn't push the upper link back far enough.
In this case, a picture will be worth a 1,000 words or possibly or your rear end in this case.

I am trying to learn how to download some pictures, I removed rear shocks, and I only have 2 1/2'' of travel on rear end, before the upper links bind up.

Is this a 3 or 4 link set up?
I'm using the 3 link set up with on my MK-4.

33wanabe, try this: download you photos to your desktop as JPEG files. Using the "Insert Image" icon on the Quick Reply panel (3rd icon from right) to search for your photos "From Computer". Once selected it will give you an option to upload them. Good luck.

NAZ, I have tried that, but I get a message that the file is too large. I have not figured out how to make my pictures a smaller file. thanks for your help and patience. I am a newbe at this.

When you download your photos to you desktop use a smaller size like 170KB and they will load faster and still be of sufficient quality. For instance, if you're using a smartphone camera and emailing the photos to yourself use a medium size scaling. When you pick the photo off your email and transfer it to your desktop it will be a small enough file that it will upload to your post with no problem.

Received new upper links from f.f., they are just like the originals, they don't fit either.

Situation has been resolved, Moser failed to grind the upper link bosses to fit f. f. links. Thanks for your interest and help. Still no pictures, sorry I could not get them to load !!
