    Lemans Hardtop Install and Fabrication

We have been looking for a supplier for a Lemans Style Hardtop for some time. After working out some details we are going through the final fitting and fabrication of the top install. This thread can be used as a "how to" finish the top. Having had customer builds in the shop the past 15 month or so we just didn't have the time to start this project.

This is the how the top was delivered from our supplier, well packed in a shipping crate.

Unpacked and sitting on the shop floor.

We started by trimming the front section that sits on the windscreen.

We then moved on to scribing lines for the sides and cutting them down to fit the contours of the body of the car.

Here you can faintly see the silver marker lines we scribed to before cutting.

Trimming and fitting the rear hatch liner.

And then trimming and fitting the hatch over the liner.

All fit and ready for hinges and latches.

Very interesting to see the progress. Will this be somewhat easily removable or more of a permanent install?

I love the look of the Lemans top. Looks like a lot of work to get it to fit though.
