    Parts Started Arriving Today!

I had two freight deliveries today. My Wilwoods and my rear axle showed up already! It's starting to feel a lot more real now after waiting for the last several months.

That's awesome. A growing pile of waiting components is pretty cool. With those nice looking shelves, you might have 0110 0011 problems, but storage space wont be 0001 (I dig your signature line).

I signed up for UPS My Choice, and now when the brown truck Santa drops something at my house, I know its there before I leave work. I text my kids to look for it and move it into the garage when they get home. It also helps for arranging an alternate delivery location for signature required stuff (I have those dropped at a UPS Store that is open later, then I can just pick it up on my way home). I know you got these freight shipment based on your comment, but for UPS stuff, I do find it useful.

Congrats! First boxes of many. Brakes were my first delivery as well.
My UPS guy really enjoyed seeing the build progress as he kept bringing parts!
    Exciting times for you.

Ha - Someone finally commented on my signature! I hope to keep the problems to double digits, and should be okay regardless with all the help available here. My Wilwoods shipped via FedEx and FFR provided me a tracking number via e-mail. The rear end shipped from Moser via UPS Freight, and FFR didn't provide any details on that shipment, but UPS contacted me to set up delivery. I sell a lot of things on eBay, and have a UPS account, very convenient indeed; especially for outbound shipments with home pick-up. I'm expecting one more freight shipment (wheels and tires), but no word on those yet. BTW, the shelves are Muscle Rack from Sam's Club - $150 and worth every penny.

    Papa-

Glad that things are starting to arrive! A very exciting time to be sure. It will be even more exciting when the empty boxes start piling up!

I have those same shelves, and they are a great deal for some serious shelves. One thing I did was to get some thin luan plywood, and cut it to fit over the metal shelves. I found that the openings in the metal shelves was a bit large, and the idea of trying to fish small parts from under the shelves didn't appeal to me. It has worked out well.

Please keep up updated on things going forward. It is fun to relive the excitement!

    Regards,

    Steve

    Suggestion ...

As stuff arrives and you unpack ... save the wrapping paper to use later when painting, cleaning or just needed some for templates.

I also saved all the zip lock type bags to use for component storage...

    Congratulations ...
