I received my 289 kit yesterday. The serial number engraved on the 2"x2" tube going across the car at the front of the cockpit reads F5R1009180RD. Everyone on the forum uses a 4 digit number. Do I use 9180 as my number?

Generally, yeah. I sometimes add the "RD" but anyone who's been around a while will know immediately it's a MKIV.
Or is it? In your case, no! USRRC and Roadsters use the same chassis so they share Chassis numbers. Meaning 9180 is a USRRC but 9181 could be either a USRRC or a MKIV.
CONGRATS by the way!

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I wasn't sure because of the shared chassis and if they differentiated the two.

There is a vendor in the vendor area that embroiders shirts with your FF chassis number, mine is FF8955, and a cobra below it in the color similar to what your car will be. I had two long sleeve denim shirts done for my wife and I, nice work.
We'll help you spend money on all sorts of things.
