What exactly goes on at each location? I might go up to Birmingham.

I have reservations at hotels for the route. Waiting on son in law to lock in his time off for the the trip. My wife is not willing to make the long haul.

Here's a quick overview of the tour from the HRPT site. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRtvGF-NJH8

The car was a retirement gift to myself; built, painted and basic tune by my son. I served as grunt, go-fer, and banker. We intended to go last year but car wasn't completed in time. We are looking forward to this year's tour. This makes my 21st post so hopefully I can post some pics and update a signature. I'll look for you Bobby; we have also booked our rooms.

    Scott,

At the beginning in 2016, when it left Louisiana, they had tons of cars as you'd expect, but they also had bands, vendors, lots of food options and an autocross course.
The 2nd stop at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown got rained out; however, they also had a lot of activities planned as well.
My recommendation is to at least do one day if you can't do two or three.
You Won't Regret It Unless It Gets Rained Out!

    Scott,

I did the “Long Haul” in my Challenge Car in 2016. Day 1 is a big, BIG car show followed by 6 days of driving, averaging 250-300 miles. Give me a call and I can give you a lot more detail.

    I sure miss my coupe!

    Thanks Garry.
My area of interest would just be driving up to Bham for the day to check out any festivites there. Prob wouldn't even drive the Cobra because that amount of time in the car in June in the south doesn't sound appealing! haha
