    Newbie.

Firstly; Thanks to your administrator for the approval to join this forum. Still convalescing from a recent motorcycle accident and much like flying any time you can walk or crawl away it's a win. Anyway; I have decided to closed the book on that particular recreational activity...or face divorce proceedings...lol. So what now??....well I've always been a huge fan of the Shelby brand particularly the Cobra. After countless hours of research The Factory Five kept coming up as the preferred vendor of choice...so here I am.

Still undecided on whether to go "build or buy" either way I will be leaning heavily on the experienced and knowledgeable folks in this forum for guidance, input and general does and dont's.

    Merry Christmas!

    Barry

    Barry,

If you are in good enough physical shape once you are rehabbed, then I'd suggest building your own.
Get the manual and read it three or four times before you decide to take the plunge.
This will get you acquainted with the parts involved and the processes as well.
My project has been delayed by roughly 10 months and I'm still in the hunt.
If I Can Do It, Then So Can You!

    Barry,

Where are you located? There might be someone who has a Cobra living close to you. You can probably check it out and let them push you over the edge of having one. :-)

Hi Tim: Clearwater FL... agree... "trying it on for size" would definitely be the smartest first step.

Welcome Barry! As a fellow former rider, you can’t go wrong with a roadster for as close a feeling of being on a bike. The build is a lot of fun and sometime frustrating but you would have no regrets. Two things you must have, time and money.
