I purchased the assembled louvers from FFR and had the cutouts for them done at the factory. The approximate size of the cutout from the factory are 6 7/8" in length and 4 1/2" in height. I knew I would need to trim them to make the louvers fit correctly. The approximate size of the louvers is 8 9/16" length and 4 5/8" height. To make the louvers fit correctly it seems I need to cut out a good amount of fiberglass. What I though would be trimming and fitting now appears to be cutting and reshaping. Before I do that I just wanted to see if I've missed something. The picture below shows about how much fiberglass would need to be removed to make the louvers fit. Is this typical? I used the bottom of the factory cutout as the reverence point and assume most material would need to be removed toward the rear of the car?

What am I missing here??? Help!

Thanks
