Air lift/ aircup suspension
So I just drove my car four blocks to the gas station to fuel up for a drive to CHP to complete my registration process, scraped the front splitter leaving the station and now understand the wisdom of some type of air lift system. I see the postings on the Stance air cups and it looks like a good choice. My questions:
1. Are there other systems that are a better choice in terms of reliability, cost, etc?
2. I'm using the black Koni shocks. I assume it is necessary to invert them so the piston is on the top (?). Any problem in doing that with the black Koni? i recall that it was not recommended for the yellow model.
3. The Stance web site has different sizes of air cups. I assume the size is the shaft diameter and I measure mine at just under 16mm. Does that sound right?
4. Any reason to also add lifts to the rear? At this point my concern is speed bumps, driveways.
Thanks for any input!

If memory serves, it is the black Koni's that must be mounted body-down and the yellow Koni's can be mounted either way. The only other system I know of is Ramlift Pro...which is hydraulic.
Adding lifts to the rear would probably be nice for high speed bumps and loading/unloading from a trailer where the car wants to get high-centered, but for most cases, the system in the front will help with getting past curbs and incline changes where the nose wants to scrape.

Is there any reason the Stance Aircups can't be installed with the cups on the top of the shocks? That appears to be how Stance recommends installation.

C5 upper A-arm is too tight to accomodate the cup. If you swap to SPC upper arms and outer plate you get more room.

I wonder whether the coilovers from the black Konis will work if I acquire the yellow bodies.

I'm pretty sure that the springs are the same diameter for both......so yes, I think you could get the yellow Koni shocks and swap the springs onto them.

Just heard back from Koni confirming that to be the case:
"David,
Yes, the coilover sleeve hardware and upper spring seat from the 8245 shock will also fit the 50mm body diameter of the 30 Series shocks.

Any comments from Koni on inverting the yellow's?

Yes. Tech support confirmed that the yellows can be used either way: piston side up or down.
