Starting on a Challenge Car rebuild with a crazy history. The cage was torched out and the body and frame were headed for dump. I modified the cage for street use and just got it back from the powder coater. After looking into body and paint cost, I decided to take an auto body and paint class at the local JC. I have acquired a pile of parts and will start reassembly. We’ll see where this goes.
Visited the AZ MVD this week to finalize the registration and VIN. The VIN was ground off but with the help of an AZ Detective, we were able to restore the VIN and finalize registration. The Inspection Officer even installed a plate that had the original FFR serial number along with the new VIN. following powder coating….talk about going above and beyond. 5825E9B0-FBFF-4447-A3F5-556719351203.jpg
It's a shame what they did to Bill's old Mk3 Challenge car. I think I told you that I offered to buy it before it got cut into pieces. Glad to see it coming back to life. You're doing a great job. Thanks for saving this one.
