Do you need bumpers for PA registration?

    Fred,

I am not certain, but one of the PA "Enhanced Vehicle Safety Inspection Stations" should be able to answer the question. I've attached a link to the DOT's list.

A friend recently had an out-of-state street rod blessed by Elizabeth Auto Sales (on the list), and I have spoken to them as well, so I know that they are familiar with the minutia of getting SCVs approved.

    Hi Jacob,

The shop close to me explained a street rod doesn't need bumpers however he's not sure about a FF roadster. More to come I'm sure.

check out www.semasan.com, then go to resources/titling and registration - - it contains requirements for all states.

The problem is that SEMA does not dictate PA enhanced inspection laws.

As for the original posters question, no, PA will allow you to get away with using the quick jacks as bumpers. You will need side pipe covers though to pass the enhanced inspection.
