Forum breakdown of the central region!

I've been in contact with Joe about how best to set up the Central region forums. As you may have guessed by the way they were set up initially, I didn't have a clue how to lay it out! Jow as kind enough to help, and after a couple of PMs I asked him how he would set it up.

This was his reply, re-posted her with his permission:

    Re: South Central Region
    Hello Again David!

Man you're right, this is tough. Believe it or not I spent over an hour thinking about it and playing around with which state in which area. Although it would be nice to have a Texas area, I don't guess it really makes much sense. Looking at the post count of FFCARS, the region with Texas really didn't get much activity. Texas really is pretty active, but most of the posting activity goes on, on Club Cobra. It's anyone's guess if Texas would participate more over here if we had our own area. Texas is a large geographic area which was the main reason I considered it.

In any event, long story short, this is what I came up with.

South Central Region (TX, OK, AR)
    Gulf Region (MS, AL, LA)
Mid-Central Region (MO, IL, KS, IA, NE)
North Central Region (ND, SD, MN, WI)

TN is half in Central and half in Eastern. I think most of the TN guys roll with the NC and KY guys, so they would probably be better off being in the Eastern area.

Now, is there a way to have a sub-title like on FFCARS that clearly shows which state belongs to which Region on the title page?

If you did want to go with a Texas Region, then maybe something like this arrangement.

    Texas Region (TX)
    Gulf Region (LA, MS, AL)
South Central (KS, OK, AR, MO, IL)
North Central (ND, SD, MN, WI, IA, NE)

So there you go.. Two choices.. YOU PICK!

    Joe - -

So, rather than me making a unilateral decision, I've decided to open it up to the folks that will be using this section for your input. I'll be adding a poll to help with the decision, but hopefully build a consensus through this thread discussion.

So let's hear it; how should we break out the central region?
