seat placement please help
I had bought seats after messuring another seats in another persons 33 build and im not sure if the seats i bought will be an issue. I can get them to fit if I place them above the trans tunnel, but would that be to high to mount them or should I return the seats (20" wide) right now they would sit lower than the seats in my mustange but I never see anyone beside those with bench seats place the seats at the height of the trans tunnel. I love the room of the seats as is so I'm hoping this setup will work. Does anyone see an issue with this. Thank you.

if you are planning a hard top or planning to have your head clear the roll bar, this will almost certainly be too high. You should be able to quickly check by slipping your roll bar into position to provide a reference point for just how high you end up. Just use some wd40 on the posts to make it easier to remove.

I can't see this working with seat belts or harness unless you are going to change the mounting points on the chassis.

Way too high. They need to be right on the floor.

IIRC 18" wide works best and someone got a 19 in by jumping on it on the floor and flexing the frame in a bit. There are a few threads between the two forums showing a lot of different seats
people have used and why they chose theirs.

IMO the roadster seats work great in the 33. They now offer a "big guy" option as well. I had the normal roadster seats in mine and was very comfortable in them. JMO.

That's going to be way too high.
I'm only 5'5" and i'm using the standard seat that came with the kit.
I mounted them about 1.5" off the floor in the back and 2.5" in the front (I like a little tilt) and put them on sliders.
My head is about 5" from the roof. Roll bar doesn't come into play for me because i have to keep the seats closer to the wheel for my short legs to work the clutch.
Be careful cause once you tilt the seat - they wont go back as far for you taller gents.
