Just a heads up.
I was under my donor today and saw that I had a tear on both front inner boots.
No clicking yet so I hope that I caught it in time (would hate to spend $700 on new CV joints just to take them apart). I went to partsgeek and ordered new boots. I also ordered new boots for the rear outside CVs since those will be used when its time to assemble the axles.
All four shipped were less than $50. Since everyone is going to have to take them apart anyway I don't think there's any reason not to have new ones ready when your kit comes. I'm sure most of yours are just as dry rotted and brittle as mine. Spend the money and do it once.
I'm not worried about swapping them now as FF will supply new clamps with the kit, I'd rather have them protected in the meantime.
I'm also planning on getting a new set of steering rack boots when I depower my rack as mine are a little cruddy. $50 for the pair of those.
