What is the clearance of the oil pan to the frame plane?

Anyone know (Wayne) how man inches the stock oil pan sits above the frame? The reason I ask is that I have a Killer B oil pan which sits about 1/2 lower than the stock pan. I'm hoping I did not make a Boo Boo ordering it before I had the chassis here.
    Thanks- Chad

Be aware that the frame around the engine is about 1.5 to 2" higher than the cockpit of the car. So hanging below the frame may be OK in that area.
At the trans-engine split the frame starts ramping up to about 10-12"

If you want to. You could add 1.5" sqr tube to the bottom of the existing tubes to protect the headers. Or some titanium sliders.

Shortened oil pans are readily available. The dune buggy guys use them. I used one in my rear engined Subaru street car.

One of the perks to the killer b setup is the ability to have a higher oil capacity.

That is good to know. Thanks. I can make it work then. If it's an issue, ill weld up a skid plate.

I'll clamp a straight edge to it tomorrow and get an accurate measurement.

I may change out my mounts and stiffen them up, perhaps my old stock mounts are "soft"
