818 in matte black or matte dark gray?
I am thinking of a matte black or matte dark gray paint for the 818, has anyone done this or thinking about it?

I'm thinking of plastidip in a matte color, but not black or gray. I'll probably start off with the white gel-coat though.

Matte gray, otherwise could look like primer.

Matte black is not just for rat rods anymore! Saw a matte black GTR yesterday, a new M4 recently, and there's a CLS65 AMG next door at work. It's not my choice, but pretty popular for fast machines.

The GTR and AMG are both factory cars easy recognizable and above 100k new. The 818 is unknown and will look "unfinished" if looking like primer. JMHO

Funny, I think exactly the opposite.

Let me rephrase. Metal flake Matte gray (like the new Lambos).

Panel in matte black but this is not how I left them. Have pictures of all panels this way but not assembled.

Ahh, gotcha and I agree. I painted this Chevelle a couple months ago and it looked killer in base coast before the clear went on. Had that matte grey look I think your talking about:
