driver lineup for the 25 hours of thunderhill
Team PDG is proud to announce the driver lineup for the 2014 25 Hours of Thunderhill, Dec 6-7. The car is at its best! We had a great car last year, but unable to exercise its potential.
Mike Holland 2 time WERC Co Champion, WERC runner up, SU Champion.
Paul Edwards: Formula 1 runner up to Sabastian Vettel, winner of Monaco Grand Prix, Grand AM Champion, 12 Sebring GT winner (co driven with Davy Jones, Steve Lisa)
Davy Jones: Formula 1 test driver, Daytona 24 winner, 2nd place Indy 500, 24 Hour De Le mans overall winner, 12 Sebring GT winner, Nascar, Camel GT winner
Steve Lisa: Grand AM, Baja 1000 3rd place co driver, Davy Jones, World Challenge, 12 hour Sebring GT winner, Multiple winner in Off road Endurance series.
It is our honor to reunite these three incredible drivers in the longest closed circuit road race in North America.
The FFR, Mendeola, GTM wave continues...........
Special thanks to all that have volunteered to such an incredible project! AND thanks to Dave Smith and Factory Five Racing for laying the ground work for a dream that we never could have scripted!
I believe the GTM has developed the best performance record of any E-Super unlimited (ES) entry in the history of the 25 hour event! (Yes! even flying Lizards effort that yielded 3 wins in a row 60% completion).
8 races 6 finishes 2 DNF (gear box, crash)

That is a Excellent lineup Richard. I am looking forward to the race already. With the factory supported privateer teams from Audi and Porsche, do you think there will be more media coverage?

Some of the Unsers have been there, and some of the Mears' have also been rumored to want to come to this race. Elliot Forbes Robinson two years ago on our team...the list goes on and seems to grow every year for some really well known drivers coming to this event.
It is my opinion that if we still had a strong motorsports based ESPN or SpeedVision, or whatever, there would be no doubt that they would be at this event and televising it. Unfortunately the timing of this race, as far as auto focused media outlets is concerned, is not quite right at the moment. Velocity is coming on strong, but hasn't bought the show yet.
There is a group of media at this race every year and for the last couple years there has been a 30 minute special presentation of the event on NBC Sports, but it has been presented mid week and mid day, so not a lot of audience there.
I think it would be really great if this event was publicized a bit more, but at the same time, if it got to where the Penske and Roush type of teams showed up to this, us little guys would be priced out of the race, so maybe small is good sometimes.
