I would like to wish an "associated" Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there whose support has allowed their husbands to pursue their goals of building their Dream Cars. There!!!!
Seriously, I hope that every Mom that see's this received the love and respect that you all so richly deserve.
Have a great Day Moms. Hell... Make it a week!
Take care.

We're all doing great. With eight, 14 and 16 year old Kiddies, its been busy. I had been consistent about starting it on a monthly basis, but I seem to have missed a few (or 3 or 4) months and I've tried on a few occasions, of the past few weeks.
Once I get it running again I plan to start making some progress.

it's always great hearing from you. I look forward to following along with you and your build when you pick it back up. I haven't been on the forum that much lately. I started a new project (work) and have been a little consumed with getting that started.
I'll looking forward to your updates.
Take care Buddy.

Ok. R.K. Motors has had my car since April 5th. They have been working on the car to get it ready to sell. Tony Kutas has been tweaking odds and ends around Pandora. And OMG, the work that they did with the body and the paint has turned out absolutely incredible... Pandora is what she is, because of Tony, Kevin, Rodney, and Kenny. They all touched her and transferred their magic to make her what she is. And what she is..., is an awesome example of Jim Schenk's vision, as well as my slant on his design.
So with that said, not a day goes by that I don't second guess my decision to sell her. I'm still selling, but it is tough to do.
I think we're finally getting to the point that she is ready to be placed into the active inventory for R.K. Motors. She will be listed for about $120,000.00, which in all actuality is a $40,000.00 loss for me. But I think it will be a good deal, and a nice car for someone who is interested.
I had a representative from Barrett-Jackson call, to talk about running it through the Scottsdale Auction next year, and/or the Las Vegas auction this year around SEMA... but that guy just seemed a little more shady than I care to deal with just to sell a car. But that's just me... I could be 100% wrong, but that's how I felt.
It should be listed on the website very soon if you're interested. Or send me a private message, and I'll get you in touch with people that can put the deal together for you.

Still amazed at how the car turned out. Pandora is a real beauty! You have set the bar very high for those that will follow. When I win the lottery this Saturday, I'm coming to get her.
All the best,

2003 H-D Softail Deuce 88 c.i. TwinCam
Gen 3 Coupe Dreamer
If only for the interior, it would make a great show car for FFR. The rest is icing on the cake.
Guess they've kind of moved away from the GTM as far as marketing though.

I like to log onto the forum every once in a while to catch up on what's going on with GTM builds. It looks like there are some nice builds going on. I have been surprised that there are no additional "finished" GTM's since I posted mine over a year ago.
Looking forward to seeing your cars when they are finished.

I wish I was close to completion LOL. I guess I'm part of the crew just getting started. but its builds like your Mike that inspire guys like me. Truly an amazing build that gives me all kinds of ideas.
Nice to see you check in, Mike!
Have you moved on to any other projects?
Thank you! I like to see the progress of people building the GTM. Needless to say I cruise your build thread when I'm on. My head was maxed out during my build, and I was sticking to the FFR design. I can'r imagine how you keep everything sorted out with all the custom changes that you're making. I'm looking forward to seeing this one when it's done.
Good luck!

Thank you for the compliment. I am very happy with how Pandora turned out. But it was the help from the great people of this forum that got me through it, and kept me focused. As my wife likes to say, "It takes a village to build the GTM..." Unless you're last name is Vacek.
Enjoy your build.

Today is a day that I have looked forward to, but also dreaded.
Pandora Has been Sold. And I didn't have to give her away.
On to the next project. Pam asked me if I was going to build the 62 Vette or the Mk-IV.
I might do the Mk-IV to have that to drive while I build the Vette.
So I guess the answer is "Both"!!!
News to follow.

I was looking back at some of our emails from 2010 when I was starting my build. Being in this community with you made the build that much more fun. I am thinking about a MK IV build too. Maybe see you over in that forum. Cheers, NT
Hey-there. Your car looks amazing. I have my roadster at Whitbys and was wondering how long it is taking for your car to get done? I dropped mine off in October and not sure if there has been much progress to date.

Hi Dave! It's always great to hear from you. How's life in ATL? Pam is pulling me towards the Daytona. "She thinks they sound cool". But I think the Cobra would be a fun grocery getter. If you're in this area please don't hesitate to call.

Thank you! My car has been done for a while. April 2017 was when I started calling it finished. Good luck with your build!

Hello, I thought I would check in to say hello, and share a little about my next project...
I've found the car that will be used for that next project.
1962 Corvette Convertible. I looked for a while to find a car that I could drive for a bit, until I'm ready to start the project. (Probably this winter).
My Granddaughter liked it... She really liked it.
The picture below was built by Jeff Hayes in Bloomington Indiana, and is pretty much what I intend to build.
Art Morrison Chassis with IFS & IRS. LS376/525 with Tremec 6 spd
Schott Wheels with Michelin PS2's (18" front, 20" rear)
I love this color, and thought that I might paint my car in the same way... Charcoal Gray with Platinum Pearl mixed in
My Granddaughter and Wife both told me that I needed to keep the same color. (1962 Corvette Paint color - Honduras Maroon)
We'll see how it turns out.
For now, I'm enjoying driving it "as is".
As well, I still plan to build another Factory Five, and it will most likely be a Mk-IV.
I'm looking forward to getting both projects started.
Fun Fun Fun...

That is a beautiful car. Personal opinion, but I think it would be a shame to modify it as you have suggested. Find one that is already torn up or is just a shell and build that up. Gutting a classic, IMHO, is just wrong.

LOL... Thank you for the kind words. I think it looks pretty nice also.
As a matter of fact, I was just about to buy a "project" car that was just 5k less than the one I bought. That didn't make sense to me, so I bought one that was running, and had all the parts that I needed, and that could be titled/registered easily.
It was a benefit that it was in great shape, but it is really a nice daily-driver level Vette. And I'm having a blast going places in it with my wife, and taking my granddaughter for rides.
At some point it will be part of the new project. But that won't be for a few months. Until then, we're going to have fun with it.
Thanks,
Mike

So good to see you back here! I've been wondering how you have been!
I really like your next project car. I know you talked about a restomod a while back, and it looks like you found a great car to start from.
The example of what yours will look like should make you really happy. That looks amazing, and I bet it drives beautifully!
Congratulations on your newest project, and please keep us updated. All the best!
Regards,
Steve
Thank you Steve. It's great to hear from you as well!
And don't worry Sir. I'll make sure and keep you posted.
