2018 Factory Five MK4 Roadster (North Carolina)

I’m putting my 2018 MK4 Cobra up for sale. Price: $39,900. Yes, I know this is my first post so let me introduce myself so as not to come across as a troll. I purchased my car built by an ASE certified mechanic named Tom Wallace (a really good guy BTW) who some of you know as wallace18. I think this was the 12th FFR car he's built. He built the car for Chris Dobbs – his bodywork/paint guy.

Here is the build thread: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/show...d-by-wallace18.

Here is the sale thread noting when I bought the car. I am the guy named Wayne mentioned by Tom at the end of the sale thread: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/show...ighlight=wayne

The car is in Chapel Hill, NC. It’s titled as a 1965 Cobra in NC. The title is clean and clear. Also provided will be the title of the donor Mustang. I bought the car with 198 miles on it. Mileage is at 1900 right now. I’m selling the car for two reasons. First, after owning it and tinkering with it successfully I’ve come to the conclusion that I can actually build my own car. I didn’t think I could but now I’m quite sure I can. Second, I’m moving from North Carolina to Colorado and simply do not want to deal with the logistics presented by the car.

Notes from Tom Wallace regarding the build:

Engine: Rebuilt 302 roller cam motor, GT40P heads. GT40/Explorer EFI intake, E303 Cam
Trans: Totally rebuilt T-5 connected to 4.10 8.8 rear-end. 4 link style rear end.
17" staggered custom painted FFR Halibrand style wheels with new Nitto tires.

Power steering, power brakes, heat, defrost. New radiator, brake hoses, rotors, 5-lug conversion. Custom body touches include doors reshaped for more shoulder room, flared side pipe openings. Self-canceling turn signals. Car drives great and easy to drive as well.

    Stuff I did:
    1. Replaced the stock heater valve with an Old Air “H” style valve. Keeps the heater core cooler when not in use.
    2. Replaced the flexible stainless FFR radiator hoses with solid polished units
    3. Replaced the engine pulleys with polished billet March under/overdrive stuff – engine candy
    4. Redid the mouth in natural aluminum with an oil cooler. Oil cooler is not connected. Has barbed ends through the mouth bulkhead for connecting the power steering pump return line
    5. Added Breeze radiator cover to top of radiator
    6. Added stainless bumper over riders. Quick jacks included in sale
    7. Header bolts kept backing out so I installed ARP stainless drilled bolts and wired them together. Problem permanently solved.
    8. Replaced stock 55mm Mustang MAF & TB with 70mm Performance Products MAF and 65mm Performance Products throttle body
    9. Powder coated upper intake after spending some time removing casting ridges/flanges and unneeded tab
    10. Added Cobra valve covers
    11. Replaced 2G 75amp alternator with 6G 100amp alternator. Increase wiring gage size/fuse accordingly.
    12. Installed Boig Quiet pipes – love them. Makes the car so much more enjoyable. I will include the satin black ceramic coated originals in the sale also.
    13. Breeze gas pedal as well as matching clutch, brake, and dead pedal pads
    14. ½”Nomex honeycomb protection sheet over radiator

The paint and body work is really outstanding. Chris Dobbs really went all out making this one look perfect. It is impossible to tell this is a fiberglass car based on the paint work. Let me know if you have any questions. PM or email to [email protected]. Thanks for looking.

Wayne made a great MK4 even better. Whoever buys this one is getting a great car. I have even thought of buying it a time or two. I just do not have room for it right now. Best of luck to all involved.
    16+ FFR kits and counting!
