    Aluminum behind tank question?

The vertical piece of aluminum behind the gas tank sits up about 1/8" to 1/4" above the horizontal bar. Should I trim this level with the bar or leave it alone before I try to mount the body?

I would leave it. It's been a while since I built a 33 but I thought you were supposed to do the trunk aluminum after the body was installed? Might find you need to trim the left and right sides quite a bit.
