Who would'a thunk - FFR Roadster same size as early Miata

Just for fun, I did a side-by-side comparison of the FFR Roadster body and a '92 (first gen) Miata today. The FFR is much wider, but - surprisingly - they're the same length:

    I dig your garage.

It can be deceptive. I remember how surprised my folks were when they swapped an Escort wagon for an Escape and found all this extra room in the garage. Part of the Miata thing might be that the FFR looks to have a longer nose 'cos the seats are farther back. I just got back from taking my Mk II on an Healey/Alfa rally on really narrow, tight roads and have no doubt that my DD '91 NA would have made things easier.

    Apart from throttle response...

That is surprising when I feel like I'm looking at a toy car when I see the Miatas on the road. I guess the girth and fat tires along with the sexy lines belie the size of the roadster. You wouldn't be showing off that fancy paint job would you, Chris? That's OK I don't ever get tired of looking at it! I'm jealous. Thanks, WEK.

I'da thunk it ('cause when I bought a cover I got one for a Miata!).

I recently bought a 10AE Miata...it's now parked in a garage bay that had been housing a Nissan Armada. That garage suddenly feels huge.

Showing off?!? Who, me? No way, man. Although, posting this picture would probably qualify as showing off the paint...

Gorgeous paint Chris!! Dark Metallic Green was my first choice for a long after I decided to build a roaster. My Handle for a long time was CNGreen.

Nice digs too. looks like you have a ton of space.

I remember seeing my friend Kouros's roadster in his garage with the body on and thinking how tiny it was! It definitely looks smaller with the body on as opposed to the go cart.

A friend suggested that I use a Miata 18mm front sway bar instead of the 30mm monster that came with the 92GT. He said it fit with only minor adjustments so I guess that was a clue, too. I really like the Miata anyway. I would love to have one with a 5.0 in it but that would be one more way for me to kill myself! BTW: you can just keep taking pictures of the roadster and we can check out the reflections all around it. Not bad!

I think I can relate to them being the same size... This is a picture of my garage as it looks today.
