It's just about graduation time!
It's has taken me about 1 1/2 years to get to this point, but she is almost done!
I built my first FFR Roadster back in 2003. After selling it in 2005 I knew I would be building another in the future. I spent 10 years scheming up ways to make my next build special and unique, but still look reasonably close to the original. The engine and fuel injection system is unique as far as I know and I actually designed and built my own circuit board for the ECU based on the Mega-squirt architecture. MY heater install is definitely different, and allowed a full sized glove box to be used, and my air filtration box I designed is also a first.
I also commissioned a friend of mine who does specialty armor, props and metal work for Hollywood to make a special hood scoop for my project.
To keep from having to duplicate my efforts, the build thread can be found below with details (and yes many images) of my build from start to now.
I did have a minor hiccup about a week back while going over the paint for a second time and cleaning up a few spots that were not quite perfect. I accidentally burned through the clear while wet sanding a spot on the hood. I plan to fix that next summer once the temps warm back up again.
Once my SPCNs certificate arrives in the mail I should be able to pass the BAR inspection and get my final registration, cross your fingers!
