    Radiator Color

I ordered some Nomex grid, like WareagleScott, to protect the radiator. I was headed to the store to buy some flat black, when I wondered if aluminum color would look better. Had to buy both and wait on some suggestions. Pictures would be great.
    thanks,
20th Anniversary Mk IV, A50XS Coyote, TKO 600, Trunk Drop Box, Trunk Battery Box, Cubby Hole, Seat Heaters, Radiator hanger and shroud.

Speedway sells it. My car is Ford magnetic gray and most of my trim is satin black. I powdercoated the inner mouth aluminum also satin black and painted the nomex protector the same color. Gives the mouth a dark maw - which I like for my paint scheme; thinks it really depends on the exterior look and the overall theme you are trying to achieve.

Painted mine with aluminum rattle can paint so it matches the radiator -- a casual look and you don't even notice it there.

Here’s what Nomex painted silver looks like (rattle can). Nomex sucks up paint like a sponge. If you decide to paint it buy at least a couple cans.

My cover is obviously not the Nomex grid but it is silver - this is stainless mesh from Pegasus Racing.

Jim, I ordered it from Speedway here is the part number for the size I bought. I think it will need trimming, which I have read, is easily done with a box cutter.

I have the nomex (Speedway product) and painted it matte black.

    Later,
