The paint looks sweet, cv2065! I really dig the color choices and more importantly, those side stripes! I'm planning the same, not color, but I do want to add some smaller side stripes accents. I know they're not for everyone, but for me, they just add another perspective for those viewing the car from side. Keep at it, you're in the final turn heading for that graduation **********.

Looks great, I am going to do the side strips to. I really think they look amazing. Going to do something similar with Titanium and black and use red as the highlight color.
Congrats

Thanks guys. Looking forward to seeing it in person. For those that are looking to do the stripes, if you are looking at the Backdraft car as inspiration like I did, one thing I realized is that the louver cutout on those cars is higher and closer to the front wheel well than the FFR body. So when you align the stripes with the louver cutout, they emerge a couple of inches further back against the hood of the car than the Backdraft version.

So lets tack on some more...
I made a day trip down to Spotlight in Dahlonega, GA as I'm up next after Chad (CV2065). Have to say what a view this guy has. I know... keep it to the car but man this guys shop is overlooking the frontage of the Appalachian range.
Paint looks great! Especially the fender stripes. I'm sure that was a task given the "0" symmetry in these bodies. Just contributing with some shots I took today. I'll update on my thread as I'm trailering down next week. Not sure whats going on with this red movement but I'm going BLUE!!!! Enough!!!

That’s showing up much more orange in these photos than real life...I’ve spent a lot of time with this color the past week or so I think he put it over a lighter ground coat than I did but that would affect coverage more than color.
As I told Carl I’m not usually a red guy but I really like this one and the black is a great contrast!

I agree Jeff. The pictures do show it a bit more orange than in real life. Thanks for the kudos! Carl and I are going to get a dual picture when we get the cars together here shortly, which will be really nice!

Oh, and great picture of Carl as he shows his best side loading up the car. Thanks Carl!! Carl does do custom hauling for Cobra's, and his enclosed trailer is NICE! So if you need to haul somewhere, give him a shout.

Very Cool!!! Amazing what accents can do to a base color. That picture of them side by side one looks darker but if you hide the strips coving with fingers the red is identical. Both look awesome! Congrats Chad

So we're finally home. Carl dropped off the car and began his ascent back up the state to grab his car from Spotlight. It's been a long journey and almost over. Well, you guys know what I mean...
And here's a quick video of getting it back to the garage. Thanks again to Carl for all his help motoring this thing around. Luckily he likes driving!

Now off for the finishing touches. Luckily I have the next two weeks off to tinker and get some road time. I did notice that my radio and parking lights were not working when it got back. Pulled the 15 amp fuse and it had blown somehow? I'll grab another. Also, my rev limiter had somehow grounded out to 1K RPM and had to reset it. Not sure if those had anything to do with the car not having battery power for some time. Either way, it goes back on jackstands for a few things:
Splash guard install, wheel spinners, license plate bracket, badging, wipers, side mirrors, wind wings/visors, door panels, sidepipe heat shields, door sills and carpet, front mesh and check out a possible minor leak at the hydraulic clutch slave cylinder....All in a day's work!
