Parking brack won't release on left wheel
Hello all,
Here I am again. Got the driveshaft to adapter bolt situation fixed. However, for a long time the left rear brake caliper has been sticking after using the parking brake. The little coli spring seems not strong enough to pull the cable back. I tried re-routing the cable to avoid tight bends but still the brake sticks and I have to pry the return spring.up to release the parking brake. Maybe need a new cable. Or...is there a stronger spring to overcome the friction of the cable?
Hope to hear soon,
Jeff

try removing the cable and see if it still does it. If it does you might need a new caliper. If it doesn't you need to reroute your cables or find a place to attach a return spring to that caliper.

I put a piano spring in there to pull it back. Can't take credit for the idea, but works great!

Thanks, I was thinking about such a spring. Re-routing didn't work.

I wonder if this was the same cause for the sticking?
