SOLD - For sale Hotrod 35 Truck - Legal, Titled and 2000 miles
Here you’ll find my 35 truck I built from 20018-2019. The truck is serial number 008. I’ve really enjoyed the truck. It’s fast, fun, gets looks everywhere and I optimized for making it as easy as possible to put on as many miles as possible. It’s located in the Twin Cites, MN.
I’m moving it on because life is catching up to my ability to enjoy it. Kids, work, etc. Also, I am falling in to the position many find themselves where it was a much more rewarding project. I need to build something again. I’ll share what was in the kit, then go nose to tail with all the work done with the truck.
The truck is titled as a 2018 in Minnesota and has ‘Street Rod’ license plates. All the DMV work has been done for you.
The kit ($26,631):
Serial number 008 (4th production truck)
Powder coated frame
Electric gauges with GPS speedometer
Vintage Air Heat & AC. The AC is plumbed - I just never filled it so it’s ready to go.
Moser 8.8 with limited slip differential
12.88” Front Wilwood brakes
12.19” Rear Wilwood brakes
Nose to Tail:
Wheels- US Mags Rambler U11. Front are 18x8, rears are 20.9.5
Tires- Nitto NT 555 G2 with tons of tread left (dyno’d at 403 HP)
Engine - Blueprint 306 part number BP3061CTCK
Fuel - Holley Sniper EFI - AN lines - Aeromotive in-tank fuel Pump - Magnafule in-line Filter
Transmission - Performance Automatic Blue Chip 4R70W AODE with MSD trans controller
Shifter - Lokar shifter kit.
Rear End - Moser 8.8 with limited slip differential.
Cooling - Derale transmission cooler
Sound/Heat Management - All the floor pan has both heat shield from factory five, then dynamat foam, then carpet. The floors never get warm to the touch, even though the exhaust is right there. The roof has just 1 panel of dynamat foam to keep the sun’s heat away - it does a pretty good job.
Truck Bed - Custom made wood bed, coretrax slats, flush mounted fuel filler. This is my favorite part as it’s removable with just 6 screws and friends/engine hoist. Makes working on the car easy.
What it’s like to drive:
It’s loud, fast and gets lots attention.
It has never once left me stranded - dead reliable.
Known Issues / Current State:
All the body panels are in black gel coat. I’ve made little attempt as making it finished.
The doors fit, but need a little adjustment to make it perfect (see pax door)
There is a vertical crack in the windshield. You can feel it on the outside, but nothing on the inside. FFR quoted me 325 for a new set of front/back glass. I didn’t fix it because I figured once I did body work I would just replace it then. This is a downside of a no-fender life.
Upon startup it makes a rattle sound that goes away almost instantly. It doesn’t seem to affect drive-ability and I just haven’t located it yet.
The foot box is a little tight. I just drive with my right shoe off - but this can be fixed by bending the gas pedal a little - I just haven’t done that work.
Asking Price:
$30,000. Lots of great high-end parts, legal and available now. Will include radiator cowl, all weather stripping for the doors, 2 Simpson 5-point harnesses, all the paperwork from the DMV and purchases and lastly the manuals (chassis, wiring and EFI manuals)
That's just the type of deal I'm looking for to fit my budget, but I need to be on a 33 Hot Rod. I fear that it's not out there, but I keep looking.
My congrates to the builder and new owner,.. Follow your dreams, make them happen!
