pressing IN IRS wheel studs

I plan on using the "Vice & Deep Socket" method to press OUT the studs that come in the hubs. Any reason not to reverse the process and press IN the new studs? Seems easier than running a lug nut and washer down like the manual describes and closer to an actual wheel stud press. Just checking to see if I'm overlooking something obvious here.

yep, press them in no issue - had a buddy with a nice press snug them up to 5,000PSI

A lot of people do it that way. Just make sure you have a quality heavy duty vice. HF won't do it.

Put the studs in the deep freeze for a day or two. They will shrink a bit. Easier to get them in, and they will be tighter when they warm up.
