Im not sure I want to run the 4 inch MAF tube they have with the plastic reducer. The ford intake has a smooth 3.5 inch airflow patch around the MAF sensor that is 3.5 inch all the way to the throttle body(with some bellows in there as well). Im thinking of doing a homebrew setup by machining the MAF boss and welding it to 3.5 inch tubing which should get me similiar flow to the factory setup. Ebay has some reasonable deals on both straight and curved section of 3.5" alum tubing used for intakes. In addition, I should be able to route the intake to the drivers wheel well and get much cooler air than right behind the radiator.

I did a search last night on cold air intakes for 2011+ mustangs and all/most all of them appear to have the MAF located in what appears to be a smooth section of tube with no necking up or down from what I can see.

I knnow that Wayne was working on an intake a while ago. Wayne, anything come of that?

Anybody do something different here?
