    Transmission Options

I can't find the recommended transmission ANYWHERE online. I'm on the fence about this or the GTM simply due to the transmission options. The Porsche box and the Mendeola just aren't fiscally customizable, or they don't have enough gearing options, or they can't handle the power.

With the engine up front any 5 or 6 speed that bolts up to your engine of choice will likely be fine. Tremec units like the TKO 500/600 or the new TKX will definitely work and handle the torque of a big engine. At around $2,800 new, these transmissions are far more affordable than the Porsche or Mendeola transaxles required in the mid engined GTM.

Especially at 10K for either of the GTM options that can't reliably hold 550hp+ and the Porsche units aren't geared for a V8. I think that just solved my dilemma. F9 it is.
