    2013 Factory Five Open House

The 2013 Factory Five Open House is about to begin. The crew is finishing preparing for the event on this PERFECT late June day. Here's a few photos from set-up and we'll keep posting more during the event.

Jay makes sure the Factory Five big rig is detailed before show attendees arrive.

The crew has been moving cars around and getting everything detailed.

These FFR cars are fresh off the Hot Rod Power Tour.

The calm before the storm at the parts sale.

The guys are ready to cook up some hot dogs.

Keep checking back for more from the 2013 Factory Five Open House!

    Mad Dog-

Awesome first post. I wish I were there! The poster is a cool design. I wish I were able to grab one of those nose pieces at the parts sale, but I think the over/under on those is going to be two hours!!

You all have an awesome day; looks like perfect weather!!

    Regards,

    Steve

Hoping we can keep this thread nice and clean with just the pics from the Open House.

Today's Open House is turning into one of the biggest ones ever! Cars starting to roll in around 8:00 AM, and by 9:00 the parking lot was already getting pretty full. The band is playing, parts sale is packed, lots of spectators, and Dave Smith just unveiled the 818S along with Andy Reid from Grassroots Motorsports Magazine. Here's some more photos and we'll keep working to post more from today. I'm working on getting a video put together as well.

Rick Soloway is kicking off his cross country trip here at the Factory Five Open House.

Mike Everson brought his dog to the event in style.

It's always cool when the big caravan of Factory Five cars pulls in at Open House.

Factory Five customer John T. and his daughter say hi.

Looks like the perfect way to spend Father's Day weekend.

The car show judges have their hands full with so many awesome builds here.

The back parking lot is getting full.

At 10 AM, the 818S and 818R were driven into the showroom. The 818S was weighed and came in at 1828 lbs!

When the crowd heard the cars driving it, they immediately flocked to check them out. You could barely move in the showroom.

Any chance someone can ask what the colour codes are for the Cobra in the above pic with the Mass plate SC1965? I've been searching for the "right" colour to paint mine and I think that's it!

I pretty sure I remember Dave posting that there would be an online sale for those who couldn't make it. That sucks.

I'm going through all of the Open House photos right now and will have a gallery put together this afternoon. Dave Hodgkins and Gary Bean (Sally's husband) took over a thousand photos that I'm trying to narrow down a bit.

I took a pic of every car there, plus a 7 minute video, PLUS some HDR pics of the 818 and Kalstar's GTM. I maxed out my 8GB card! Good thing I brought a spare!

I'll be putting every pic in a dedicated album this week, and will post many, if not all, in a dedicated thread.

My wife just loves the fact that the video catches my dumping the smaller chip bits out of the bag directly into my mouth in the video. Then I proceeded to crumple the bag up and put it in my pocket! LOL

That's what we needed! A closed thread/album where only pictures from the open-house are! That way it's easier to look at all without having to dig through a bunch of posts!
