    Bulb for backup/blinkers?

One of the LED bulbs in my back-up/turn signal lights decided to quit after I stupidly shorted the connector. I don't see any name or numbers on it so does anyone know where I can get a replacement and what to ask for?

Thanks, Steve. I have ordered these from Amazon and I'll post when I get them to confirm that these are the correct bulbs.
I hope FFR won't suffer from losing this $15 sale but Amazon is faster.

I thought mine did not have a bayonet socket. Did Yours?

I'll have to double-check when I get home tonight. I had this in my spreadsheet of "good links to save" from when I ran across them a while ago.

The photo on Amazon looks right to me. I don't know what a bayonet socket is so I'm happy in my ignorance . . . so far.
The problem I had with the socket was that the two contacts at the bottom of the socket are loose enough to contact each other and the female connector fell apart.

well... I hope I didn't lead you astray, so I'll check just the same. But if the photo looks like your bulb you should be in good shape. If the socket is the problem, probably best to call FFR.

I'll know next week when I get the Amazon bulbs and I'll post here. Re the socket, it's poorly designed, not defective, so I just fixed it by bending the contacts epoxying the connector. Like most of you, it's best to solve my own problems if I can.

I'm a bit confused on how these LED bulbs are supposed to work. I've got one with a working turn signal and a reverse light that sometimes works. And the other lights up amber for both turn signal and reverse. What is the pin out for the connector? Is it (Amber+ , Ground, White+)?

These connectors aren't made very well. Make sure yours don't look like this. I used a flat head screw driver to carefully bend them away from each other.

Exactly right, TouchStone. That's exactly a problem I had and I should have taken a photo and posted the warning. Thanks.

Well, I got the bulbs from Amazon and they are close, but not correct. The base is different so I'm returning them, which is very easy. Steve, your link looked good to me and now we all know a little more. I just got off the phone with FFR and they are sending me the LED bulb. I guess the Amazon bulb is a "bayonet" type as Bob said. I'm starting to learn that Bob seems to know everything and is one of the best brains here, among a few others.

Anybody have a problem with the white LEDs on these bulbs? Mine will turn on correctly but if power is disconnected and then reconnected within 5-10 seconds they will NOT turn back on.

Given all the info I've taken from the forum, I was hoping to actually add something helpful for a change ... maybe next time.

I think it would have been better if FFR used thoes bulbs given they have polarization (can only be installed one way) and FFR's dont.

I like it when a solution is reported so I'll say that I got 1 LED bulb from FFR and it works well. Thanks FFR.
I don't know of another source or part number.

They are just cheap bulbs. I almost failed my brake and lamp inspection today because of these bulbs not wanting to operate correctly. I'm looking for replacements as we speak so I don't have to deal with this problem in the future. Luckily for me though I was able to get things working and the guy let me slid right on through.
