    Dunamis Build Thread

I received my MK4 around November 2016. I opted for the base kit with the 3-link and a few other goodies during FFR sale. I also bought a 87 Stang that had the SN95 swap front and rear completed. The 302 has aluminum heads, cam BBK intake and BBK MAF. Looking back, I should've not bought a donor but it's too late now... Anyways, I look forward to the feed back from the forum and any advice to follow. This is my first FFR build and it's been a blast so far.

    MK4 Roadster base Kit
    Powder Coated Chassis
    Body Cut Outs
    3-Link rear
    302 headers

I was looking to do a budget built buuuuut it's clearly not gonna happen as I thought. Take my advice future buyers, either get a complete kit or plan on buying most donor parts again...

Sorry about that, your thread posts were put into moderation (I just cleared them). I've upgraded your account for full access but the software is finicky until you reach 10 posts is you include links.

After 10 posts that behavior (and possible delays of your posts) will go away.

Congrats on the start of your build!

Thanks David! No problem, I expected it to take some time since I'm a noob here.

So initially I spent a lot of time drilling holes... as I'm sure everyone is familiar with. I started tackling the rear end first. The car has 3.73 gears, which I've read are a little much for this car. However, I'm going to drive it around first before I make any changes. I spent a good amount of time prepping the case with a pressure washer and a wire wheel. Overall, it turned out well with the gloss paint.

Gas tank and some panels. Nothing too exciting. I used Herculiner, definitely recommend it over any spray can products. I tried a rubberized coating from Rustoleum and it was a nightmare, it didn't even come close to setting up properly.

    Whitby power brake booster install.

The tip to use a wood template made this job very quick and easy

    Nice clean cut

Mocking the booster and pedals up. I relocated the steering shaft bearing to the inside of the cab.

Steering shaft, final pedal and booster install.

I used some rust reformer on the pedal box. Came out much better looking.

I used VHT burnt copper orange for the engine bay panels

    Steering shaft installed
