Nice looking wheels! I guess you can make black lins across Florida with anything more than 50 hp.
50 HP? boy you are mean! ;-)
Plenty of room to work underneath.

Great idea !
looks solid !

Got the idea from one of Tom Wallace's friends.
Ken,
Looking good! I'm very jealous! Keep up the good work!
I lucked out. Getting the engine ready for the transmission. Dial indicated the flywheel, dead nuts on. Dial indicated the bellhousing, almost dead nuts, I don't need to use offset Dowel Pins!
flywheel runout is zero.jpg
bell housing run out near perfect.jpg
I hope this luck continues :-)
painting some parts. Air cleaner is a sample of the final color for the body. Top of cab will be Wimbledon White (a 1964 Ford color) and below the beltline Ecurie Ecosse Blue (this is a Standox copy for Lotus called Lotus Racing Blue). Found a local jobber that supplies Standox paint so I don't have to travel to the UK!
The Firewall is Wimbledon White and Kia Titanium Gray. It's a warm gray to complement the warm white.

Finished Firewall painting. 2nd attempt got it right this time. Steering column, wheel and power steering (electric) all installed.
I need to make a bracket for the PS controller. Trip to Home Depot will do it.
Started electric today. Looks messy but everything is labeled.
Ready to install the engine any day now.

I used to think I needed a Rolex watch, now I’d be happier with a Swedish K!
I needed help from my neighbors. But the engine is in!
Thanks to Henry Renard (65 Cobra dude), Robert Vendette, and Dave Erickson! It made the job easier to have many hands.

Power Steering and Oil Filter were in the way. I'll get a shorty filter, but the Oil Pan will need a strategic dent made into it.

Looking good. Great progress ken. I used a Moroso double sump pan and fit perfect with the electric steer unit.

I had to search for a shorter oil filter. Finally settled on NAPA 1335.
Also had to grind a little off the motor mount for PS to fit.
Ralph
The new manual says Purolator L17019.
Of course, I'd built the engine first, before the manual arrived. Will try to clock the PS tomorrow before I resort to strategic denting.

so, had trouble with grill (long story) replaced with 32 Deluxe Grill. Top hose, ok. Bottom wow, what a pain. Reached out to others for assistance, rolled my own solution. Here is the pictures, in case someone wants to duplicate. Unseen or hard to see is a short 6 inch steel tubing and a rubber adapter (1.5 to 1.750 inch).
Still not crazy about it. Worried about rubbing the hose between the springs. We'll see..
part no 1.jpg . Used and cut back to fit to bottom of Radiator (1.5 inches here)
part no 2.jpg . Top at water pump, also cut back.
