    Colorado Cobra

Anyone in Colorado willing to show off their Cobra? I'm in the initial stages of research and would like to see one in person.

I'm up in Greeley and only have my front/rear suspension installed. I'm currently working on the brakes/rotors steps, but I'm taking my time and the car build is not my priority, unlike others who make it theirs to complete quickly. I set out initially with a 4-5 year build and have no plans to change it.

Definitely take Papa (Dave) up on his offer to view his or anyone else for that matter and get all your questions answered from someone who has completed their build. Dave did a fantastic job and his car is sweet! And I know there are several others in CO that will be willing to help too. Again, I'm not far along but I can try and help answer any questions you may have. And if you're ever up this way, feel free to contact me.

My main advice that others have shared with me... Plan your build and build your plan! Use all new parts if possible and allow your dollars to work with your available time as to trully build the car of your dreams. Oh, and I would go with the IRS setup and whatever else your (budget, banker, significant other) will allow I'm trying to build mine with no regrets. So, I'm balancing my funds vs time vs availability <repeat>.

Hey Guys... I'm going to piggy back off of jbeck's request if I could. I'm signed up for the build school in a couple weeks and I was hoping to check out a ride or two so I can have some additional perspective while I'm there. It'll obviously be beneficial when I'm getting my order configured up as well. My plan is coyote/tkx/irs combo at the moment. I'm between Erie and Frederick.

I'd also be happy to share my build progress and offer a different perspective. I'm currently at the go-kart stage and live in Highlands Ranch. Agreed about catching up with Papa - Dave has been a great resource for me in my build as well and offers a wealth of good advice on the build!

    Cheers,
    Jake

I'm usually available on the weekends if you want to try to swing by and look over my car. Let me know via PM and we'll go from there.

Hey guys! I am just north of Longmont and would love to sit in one to see if I fit (I am 6'4"). I have build school in late august and I have dreams of a 427 build.

Great to see there are several in the area. We are in NE Colorado Springs, next to Fox Run Park and we would appreciate seeing yours. I also commented on Papa's thread and any others, completed or in various stages of completion. Our kit will arrive this Sunday and we can't wait to start it!

I'm always happy to entertain new or prospective builders/buyers. PM me if you would like to come up some time and chat.

That's cool. The Mile Hi Cobra Club has visited there every september for the last 15 years. Unfortunately, 2021 was our last year for that trip.

    When do you expect completion?

Its complete now and on the road as of August 2022 (don't check in here very often).
Was able to get a track day in at high plains in October.
Making a few changes over the winter and hope to be back at the track in the spring!

I'm in Longmont, and my Coupe is almost ready for body and paint. Don't know if I'll have it ready for this summer, but expecting fall completion.

Looks like there's a lot of folks in Northern Co. Would be fun to set up a semi occasional meet up?

There's an Northen Colorado Cars & Coffee that uses Centerra off (I-25 & HWY 34) for meet-ups and they're last Sunday's in the month. Well, that is, when the weather gets nicer. PM your info to me and I can let you know once John Spina (Cobra-nator) lets our group know when they begin. There's a really good turn-out for all kinds of different vehicles, with 10+ or so Cobras in the mix. And this group of builders/owners are really great folks.
