Detailed Description of Custom features GTM FFR0081 - The Stig
Chassis:
- I disassembled the car down to the frame
- Powder-Coated the aluminum panels "coy black"
- Upgraded to the Corvette Z06 Big Brake kit.
- Powder Coated "gun metal gray".
- GTM Sway Bar kit
- Genesis Racing Shocks, tuned for the weight & balance of the GTM
- Ferrari 599 Horns.
- David Borden / Russ Thompson's Frame rail mounted skid system
- Thermotec - Carbon Fiber heat barrier for the engine firewall.
Tires & Wheels:
- CCW (C2K) custom wheels
- 18 x 10 Front 245/40 ZR18 Michelin PS2's
- 18 x 12 Rear 335/30 ZR18 Michelin PS2's
Engine:
Corvette LS2 crate engine.
- Cadillac CTS-V engine accessory kit for LS2.
- Goodyear Gatorback serpentine belt
- Custom Aluminum Fuel Tanks
- Aeromotive fuel system, with return
- Fuel Pump, Pre/Post filters, Fuel Rails, Pressure regulator, and Steel braided Fuel lines.
Transaxle:
The transaxle is a G50/01 5-spd
- Rebuilt with new 1st, 4th, & 5th gears
- Limited Slip Differential
- Brandwood Cable Shifter
- Setrab transmission oil cooler, with Tilton Pump, and fan tied to the ECU for thermostat control.
Exhaust:
Kooks long tube Headers, catalytic converters, & Exhaust system for the GTM.
Cooling System:
- Custom aluminum radiator built by Griffin Thermal, to fit the Corvette C5
- uses 20AN & 24AN threaded bungs.
- LS1 water pump customized by Jeff Schwartz, to accept 20AN & 24AN fasteners
- Steel braided coolant lines to run from the radiator to the water pump.
- Mike Holland's Header Tank and HVAC by-pass kit.
Body:
- Shane Vacek's Custom rear wing for the GTM. (And various other custom parts).
- Carbon fiber splitter and side skirt kit from Factory Five racing.
- Rear safety glass quarter windows from Factory Five Racing.
Bodywork and Paint: Charlotte Speed Shop: Tony Kutas
Extensive Fiberglass re-work. Perfect Alignment of all panels.
Custom Rear Hatch, precisely fitted and finished.
BMW - Carbon Black Metallic paint, with "Show" Clear.
Interior: Custom Interior installed by Steve Kurzman, of Custom Stitching, Charlotte, NC.
- Quiet Ride - GTM Sound Deadening - Heat Insulation kit.
- Insulated the inside of the tunnel from front to rear
- Wrapped the coolant lines in heat insulation
- Porsche 997 Turbo Gauge Cluster
- Vintage Air HVAC system
- Push Button Start w/alarm
- Pioneer Audio/Nav system, JL Audio Speakers, sub, and Amps.
- Rear view camera
