    Front Brake Fasteners

    Hi Everyone.

I am working on the front brakes. I assembled all the components and I am cleaning up to paint via POR-15 caliper kit. As I organized, I do not see the bolts to connect the calipers to the hub assembly. I have pored over the manual and do not see the fastener required. I see a picture in the manual. But I can’t figure it out.

Anyone know the fastener? Size, shape, length? Do I need a washer or nut?

    Thx. Tom

What calipers are you using? The Wilwoods came with the mounting bolts in the box with all the other brake parts.

For the front brakes FFR supplied, they should have also supplied the bolts. Have you scoured the fasteners box for four, rather large bolts?

I think I found it. Take a look. Michael Everson tickled a brain cell with the 12pt comment. These are 12pt, fit the caliper, and 35mm long. For some reason these did not jump out to me.

Do I use a washer or anything? Or just some blue locktite on it and tighten it up?

    Thx for the help. Tom

You don't need washers on flange head bolts. Definitely blue loctite.

But maybe, for now, skip the loctite and hang a piece of tape or some other reminder to do it later. As you probably already know the first install is not always the final install.
